Offline
Offline licensing is critical for environments that lack direct internet connectivity or require secure, manual activation processes. This guide covers the procedures for generating an offline license request and uploading the license file using the Floating Server API.
This operation initiates the process to obtain an offline license by generating a license request. For more information about this API endpoint, visit our API page for generating offline license requests.
A step-by-step guide of how to generate offline license can be found in Generate Offline License.
Once you have received the offline license file from our offline portal (https://offline.licensespring.com/). our offline license file upload endpoint is used to upload the file to activate the license.
The offline license file can be uploaded to the Floating Server, as seen under the offline licenses section in our products documentation.
Refreshing an offline license follows a similar process as online licenses, but with an additional step. First, generate a new license file (refresh file) through the offline licensing platform. More information on license refresh files can be found in our guide for offline licensing.
Once the refresh file is ready, you can upload it to the Floating Server as you would with a normal license file. This process updates the license while maintaining offline functionality.
